Carers Awareness looks at the experiences of unpaid and informal carers. The curriculum considers how caring affects wellbeing, how professionals identify carers’ needs and the support resources to which carers may be signposted. Working in partnership with carers is a separate part of the course.

This is relevant to staff whose work brings them into contact with families and others providing unpaid support. The focus is understanding those carers and their circumstances, alongside the rights and entitlements included in the supplied course outline.
