Preparing to Work in Care is a 30-minute introduction for people considering a care role or starting work in the sector. It covers care values, the worker’s responsibilities and person-centred care, alongside dignity, professional standards and essential skills. The final topic considers what to expect in a first care role.
For a more specific setting, Skills Required for Care at Home Workers looks at providing support in people’s own homes. The guide to care-worker training requirements in England addresses wider training and induction questions. This course’s own scope remains the introductory curriculum described above.
